Living with and managing anxiety
St. Giles’ Centre, St. Giles' Church, Market Place, Pontefract, WF8 1AT
Face to Face Recovery College Courses (18+)
Join us for this two-session course which has been developed to explore briefly what anxiety is and explore practical ways of managing the symptoms of anxiety. This involves learning mindfulness techniques, breathing exercises, grounding exercises, information about CBT techniques, other treatment options and general anxiety knowledge. This course is for anyone interested in learning more about anxiety and improving their capacity to manage anxious feelings directed at themselves or others.
It is not necessary to have a deep understanding of anxiety to attend; Students must, however, commit to attending both sessions in order to fully benefit from the course material.
If you wish to gain more of an understanding about what anxiety is and how it effects people, we’d recommend attending our “Understanding anxiety” workshop.
