Online Recovery College Courses
Talkthru Courses
This introductory course is run by the senior counsellor, Jo Naylor, from Talkthru, a specialist counselling service that provides counselling for pregnancy-related distress such as pregnancy and baby loss. Jo is a specialist in this field with over 25 years’ experience and will provide an overview of birth trauma, what it is and how it affects people in different ways. We will cover emotional and physical birth trauma.
Through this session we will explore ways to help women and birthing people understand and cope with their own feelings about their birth experience as well as understanding their partner’s perspective.
We will also cover birth trauma with black, black mixed and Asian heritage communities, and also within LGBTQIA communities.
This is an interactive course where you can share your experiences if you wish to do so. We will also provide some resources, direction to future support & guidance to build a support network for your recovery journey.
You are not alone and there is hope for recovery.
*Please note: This course is suitable for birthing parents and their partners or birth partners.
