Grace’s story

I have seen people who have attended the Recovery College grow in confidence, learn new skills and make new friends.

I am a social worker based in Core Team West – one of the mental health teams working with people aged 18-65 who are experiencing a variety of mental health problems. I speak to everyone I work with about the Recovery College because I think it runs some really interesting and informative courses which participants can learn a lot from. Attending courses at the college also provides the opportunity to meet new people in a safe space, and for many, it can be the first step back in to further education, volunteering and/or employment.
