Turning Point Talking Therapies workshops
If you can’t find a workshop from the Recovery College offer on a topic that you were specifically interested in, please let us know and we might be able to set one up. You might also find it interesting to explore the free workshops available from our partner Turning Point Talking Therapies (please note that workshops from Turning Point are only available to those who are registered with a Wakefield and 5 Towns District GP and may not be co-produced/co-facilitated by those with lived experiences).
If you like the sound of any of the below workshops, you won’t need to book with the Recovery College and instead will need to book directly with Turning Point online here. If you would prefer to contact the service directly to secure your place on a workshop, please call 01924 234860 or email wakefield.talking@turning-point.co.uk.
Turning Point Talking Therapies webinars and workshops are delivered on a rolling basis. To find the most up-to-date schedule of the Turning Point Talking Therapies’ webinars and workshops, visit their website at Turning Point Talking Therapies and follow their social pages for more details.
Turning Point Talking Therapies Emotional Wellbeing Workshops
Turning Point Talking Therapies workshops and webinars, delivered by their experienced team, follow evidence-based treatments recommended by the NHS. These informal sessions provide information on common mental health issues and provide valuable techniques to manage them. You can attend without sharing personal experiences. It’s okay to be shy and just listen; there’s no pressure to disclose personal information, but there is an opportunity to ask questions or share if you wish.
For many, these workshops are an excellent starting point for improving mental wellbeing, teaching useful coping strategies to enhance your mood. You can attend multiple sessions, with a few weeks’ break between each to apply what you’ve learned. The workshops also offer details on further support and resources provided by their local talking therapies service.
All workshops are NHS-funded, so simply sign up here to participate.
